Dual Purpose
The Leeds Bikes Electric Conversion Kit is dual purpose in multiple ways. Our e bike kits use only the best parts, including the motors. We use geared motors as opposed to gearless motors. The reason for this is that geared motors, like ours, allow you to ride your bike without having to use power from the motor. That means the motor doesn’t resist your pedaling when its not in use. On the other hand, gearless motors require you actively use power to move.
Another way our conversion kits are dual purpose is that they are easy to install AND easy to remove. If you want to enter a race or group ride that doesn’t allow electric bikes, just remove the wheel and put your old wheel back on! Within 5 minutes or less you’ll be ready to ride your bicycle without electric power! When you’re ready for power again, just install the motor wheel, plug in the battery, and go!
